The queens of Bad Camberg sing for humedica

by Anna Grabner-Strobach,  2020/03/26

Each year in January three friends from the Central Hessian city Bad Camberg are on a royal mission. Traditionally, the ladies go from house to house to present poems and songs to the local population receiving abundant gifts in return. Usually in the form of solid and liquid donations in kind.

However, in 2020 the royals were on tour in the name of charity and for the good cause. And the search for a suitable beneficiary brought them to humedica. The Bad Camberg resident Uwe Grunert is not only a local celebrity, he has also worked as a volunteer for humedica for many years. During his many assignments abroad he has become an experienced old hand in interventions teams. Most recently, he engaged in the flood relief work in Indonesia at the beginning of the year.

The already traditional queen tour of the three friends Sabine Bogner, Sabine Flecks and Eva Bäumlisberger was a roaring success. Singing, the queens collected 205 Euro, which they donated to projects in the field of development cooperation. None other than humedica coordinator Uwe Grunert accepted the donation cheque and thanked the triumvirate as well as all the generous sponsors.
Our heartfelt thanks for the noble donation go to the Royal Highnesses!
