V-Hardware Store in-kind donation worth 2.732,84 Euro
The Georg Jos. Kaes GmbH (commonly known as V-Markets) supports humedica since 1981. Its V-Hardware Store has now made donations in kind worth 2.732,84 Euro in order to equip humedica for the ongoing certification as Emergency Medical Team (EMT) by the World Health Organization (WHO).
The V-Hardware Store material donations cover mainly tools and important components for the self-sufficient water supply of the humedica EMT-intervention kit, which allows the intervention teams to work altogether autonomously up to two weeks in disaster areas.
Michael Stöckle, member of the general management of the Georg Jos. Kaes GmbH, presented the donation in the course of the assembly training for the EMT camp, where the donated items were actively used for the first time.
We would like to thank the Georg Jos. Kaes GmbH from our heart for the great equipment donated in kind by the V-Hardware Store!
EMT camp set-up training
Rapidly approaching the certification by the World Health Organization (WHO): a few weeks before the official certification date, the international relief organization humedica has organized an assembly training for the EMT camp in Pforzen. Also the WHO mentor Dr. Ian Norton was on site to offer last-minute advice.
On the premises of the Kemptener Street 6 in Pforzen humedica has run a test to set up the EMT camp in order to practice not only for the WHO certification, but also (and above all) to rehearse for real emergency cases. Photo: humedica

Thank you so much for your great support during the EMT certification phase!
Licence donation by EDV-Buchversand
Since 2014 the EDV-Buchversand Delf Michel e.K. supports humedica with free licences for internet security. The virus protection programme F-Secure is installed on the mobile intervention laptops of humedica to protect volunteers and employees abroad from viruses, malware and other hazards of the internet.
"Especially in emergency cases it is indispensable to protect the full operability and data security of the intervention laptops. The programs donated by EDV-Buchversand help us enormously." explains Petra Berwanger, data protection officer at humedica.
