Donating knowledge: rhetoric seminar with Dr. Peter Heigl

We at humedica are once and again very glad about your individual support – your time, your goods, your money, but also your knowledge. Like at the beginning of April, when Dr. Peter Heigl visited us to get us into shape in view of rhetoric. Our colourful group of twelve humedica employees and volunteers experienced an entertaining, instructive and very practical day.

Many thanks for this great support, Dr. Heigl!

5.000 Euro anniversary donation instead of presents

A generous birthday boy: Dr. Ralf Masur from the implanting centre in Bad Wörishofen renounced presents for his 50th anniversary. Instead he asked his guests to donate for humedica.

This resulted in 4.140 Euro for the worldwide relief work of our Kaufbeuren humanitarian organisation. After rounding this sum off, Dr. Masur handed over the impressive sum of 5.000 Euro to our colleague Heidi Vaassen in his practise premises. The amount goes to those of our international relief projects, which need support most at the moment.

Over the years the dentist from Bad Wörishofen, Germany, has supported our work on a regular basis. „We all are so well off, we can easily share with others.“, says Dr. Masur.

We all thank him from our heart for this generous commitment and say Happy Birthday!

Doubled donation of the HypoVereinsbank employees from Kaufbeuren

For the seventh time already the employees of the HypoVereinsbank in Kaufbeuren have collected a donation to assist the international relief projects of humedica. The UniCredit Foundation doubled the revenue of 2.795 Euro in the course of its „Gift Matching Programme“, so that our colleague Heinke Rauscher could gladly accept the substantial sum of 5.590 Euro at the cheque presentation.

„With their donation our employees contribute to public welfare also beyond national borders – this deserves my highest recognition. I thank my all my colleagues for their commitment. Their engagement enables the support of the important work of humanitarian organisations like humedica year for year.“, says Andreas Frey, branch manager private banking in Kaufbeuren, Germany.

Also the humedica team would like to thank all employees for their great engagement and is already looking forward to future collaboration!

Preparations for EMT certification

We are rapidly approaching the date for the WHO certification as Emergency Medical Team (EMT). In the last weeks we installed our EMT-Camp for a test and asked some of our nearby intervention team members over for a first inspection. Thanks to the knowledge gained and the very helpful feedback of our supporters we can now prepare ourselves even better - for the certification, but above all for upcoming disaster situations.

To guarantee that in case of emergencies every move is sure, we also organised the first technical training, which focussed on the set-up of the camp with regard to autonomous power and water supply.

We would like to thank all of you for your engagement and donations, which enable us to realise the EMT project!
