Tabaluga – help for people in need
Nearly everybody knows the musical Tabaluga written by Peter Maffay or has at least heard about it. Although on a bit smaller scale than the original but with no less commitment, also the Nesselwang youth choir has brought the musical on the local stage und met with the audience´s enthusiasm. The Allgäu musicians now donated a part of the proceeds, 1.200 Euro, to humedica.
„Everything for the musical was done by ourselves: From the costumes, the chorography and the stage design up to the posters and the program booklets“, explains choir member Philipp Marek, who also organised the fundraising for humedica. „And because the musical was such a success and everything was already there, we did not only the planned five shows, but added another four. “
The longstanding volunteer coordinator Dieter Schmidt, also from Nesselwang, established the contact between the youth choir and humedica. For this commitment and the great donation humedica wants to thank cordially the whole Nesselwang youth choir and its head Andrea Allgaier.
Doubled help: Great commitment of the HypoVereinsbank employees
For the 6th time in a row humedica received a generous support from the HypoVereinsbank employees in the Allgäu. Like in the years before the so-called “Gift Matching Programme” of the UniCredit Foundation doubled the donations of the employees, which thus reached the impressive amount of 5.980 Euro this year.
Andreas Frey, branch manager of the Kaufbeuren HypoVereinsbank passed on in person the respective cheque to humedica employee Heinke Rauscher on the 14th of June 2016 in the course of an official handover. „It is a major concern for us to take on social responsibility here in this region. Therefore I am glad that also in this year so many colleagues took part in the donation for humedica. I would like to thank all participants most cordially.“ said Andreas Frey.
Heinke Rauscher joined in this thanks in her following presentation about humedica´s work in front of the employees: „In particular such larger donations without earmarking enable us to plan even better the aid for people in need and to ensure that the support arrives where it is needed most.”
Jubilee donation from Holzmann Medien
For the 80th company anniversary of Holzmann Medien the well-known Allgäu publishing house did not only organise a big reception, but also linked this date with a generous donation to humedica. General manager Alexander Holzmann passed on in person 5.000 Euro to humedica employee Patrick Khamadi.
The publishing house did expressively not dedicate the donation to a special project in order to enable humedica to support and therefore save till date underfinanced aid projects. „I think it is great, that on the day of its anniversary the Holzmann publishing house also bears people in mind, who are not so well off. This donation is a wonderful act of charity, for which I would like to thank most cordially.“, said humedica general manager Wolfgang Groß.
The present donation is not the first humanitarian engagement of Holzmann Medien. Already in 2013 the publishing house supported the worldwide relief efforts of humedica with a Christmas donation of also 5.000 Euro.
A colourful evening with a charitable touch
It is well known that there are many ways to raise funds for the good cause and so the songwriter Manfred Siebald organised a colourful musical evening instead of a classical fundraising campaign. The retired professor for American Studies waived all fees and passed on the proceeds of the evening to humedica.
The donation worth 1.600 Euro goes to the present relief efforts of humedica in Greece. There the helpers in the red vests provide medical care to the waiting refugees near the city Thessaloniki and are therefore an important support for people in need. The wife of Professor Siebald, Christine, is a surgeon and took already part in several humedica interventions.
This concert was not the first engagement of Manfred Siebalds for humedica. In the past years the songwriter had already donated the revenue of his charity concerts time and again to the Allgäu organisation. The whole humedica team expresses its thanks to all visitors of the concert and to Manfred Siebald for his remarkable commitment.
