A top-class charity dinner

The Lions Club Landsberg organised a Charity Dinner and donated the proceeds, which amounted to 6.250 Euro, to humedica´s relief efforts. The amount goes to the humedica project in Greece, where the helpers with the red vests provide urgently needed medical care for the waiting refugees since March this year.

Immediately following the lavish four course meal, prepared by Kempten top chef Christian Henze, the music and cabaret artist Chris Böttcher as official humedica representative could receive the donation in front of the 128 dinner guests. Among the attendees were member of the Landtag Dr. Thomas Goppel as well as Landsberg head mayor Mathias Neuner and his representative Doris Baumgartel.

„We thank all guests, sponsors and companies in the district, whose strong commitment rendered this sensational donation amount possible and of course also all those, whose humanitarian engagement helps people, who presently undergo difficult times.“, explained Lions president Siegfried Kuhn to the enthusiastic audience during the hand-over.

Besides humedica also the Dominicans from Landsberg received a donation out of the charity dinner revenue, which will benefit their Multiple-Sclerosis group.

A heart´s desire for the 50th anniversary

Instead of buying expensive gifts, please give a donation for people in need. With that heartfelt wish Johanna Eleonora Pohl from Kaufbeuren addressed the guests of her 50th anniversary and thus initiated an astonishing fundraising campaign for humedica. Willingly her guests accommodated her wish at the birthday party and donated the respectable sum of 1.500 Euro.

The “birthday girl” came in person to the humedica headquarters to pass on her present to our employee Cecilia Homilius. She thanked her guests with a cordial „Vergelt‘s Gott (May God reward you)“. „It is always rewarding to contribute to help people in need, especially children.“ explained Johanna Pohl when handing over the money.

The humedica team is glad to join in this sentence and to express its thanks in the name of all beneficiaries to the “birthday girl” and her guests.

Wiedemann Pharma donates medicaments worth 12.500 Euro

A healthy person has many wishes, but a sick person has only one, says a well-known proverb, which certainly applies for the majority of all affected people. To fulfil exactly this wish, the Wiedemann Pharma company offers various homeopathic and herbal supplements.

In order to provide also people from poor countries with an inadequate health care with their products, the company from the Bavarian Münsing-Ansbach now donated medication worth 12.500 Euro to humedica. Among the free drugs in the many boxes are several vitamin and enzyme preparations, which support at best in particular people, who suffer from undernourishment and malnutrition by improving their nutrition situation.

As this donation was handed over without earmarking, the humedica helpers now are able to use the mediation where the health and nutrition situation is presently especially difficult and help is needed urgently. Against this background humedica thanks cordially in the name of all recipients the people at Wiedemann Pharma and is looking forward to further cooperations in the future.

Successful charity concert in Maria Rain

Soprano singer Heidrun Blaser (Munich), violinist Stefanie Elhardt-Pagnia (Memmingen) and organ player Kurt Renner (Memmingen) jointly put on a special fundraising concert the 12th of June 2016 in der pilgrimage church “Hl. Kreuz” in Maria Rain at the foot of the Allgäu Alps. The resulting revenue of 700 Euro was now handed over to humedica.

The three well-known musicians presented a wide range full of nuances to the approximately 180 visitors of the concert and covered the musical period from Baroque over classic to romanticism in the impressing atmosphere of the Baroque pilgrimage church. Afterwards the audience thanked the musicians with standing ovations and generous donations for their performance.

„We are very happy that our concert could enthuse so many attendees and would of course like to thank expressively for the generous donations, which we voluntarily pass on to both humedica and the restauration of the pilgrimage church in Maria Rain“, said musician and organisator Stefanie Elhardt-Pagnia.

The donation handed over to humedica will go to the Mother-Child-Clinic in the African Niger as well as to the reconstruction efforts of the Allgäu helpers after the heavy earthquake in Ecuador last April.

In the name of all beneficiaries the humedica team wishes to express its thanks to the trio of musicians and all donators.
