Pictures from Nepal auctioned off for the benefit of humedica

The 9th of December humedica looked forward to a very special kind of fundraising event: the Naturopathy Association Memmingen auctioned off two pictures allocated freely by the professional photographer Juergen Bartenschlager from Memmingen for the benefit of the reconstruction aid after the severe earthquake in Nepal.

Bernhard Fischer was the highest bidder and won the pictures for 3.500 Euro, afterwards he generously rounded the amount up to 5.000 Euro. This donation now goes to the construction of 250 earthquake-resistant homes for people, who lost everything during the tremors in April.

But not only the donation purpose referred to Nepal, also both photos showed portraits taken by Bartenschlager during a journey in the small Himalayan state shortly before the earthquake. It was not the first time that the Naturopathy Association Memmingen committed for humedica: last year the association already donated the revenue of several events for humedica projects.

In the name of all people in Nepal humedica would like to express its heartfelt thanks for the generous donation to Juergen Bartenschlager, Bernhard Fischer and all persons in charge at the Naturopathy Association Memmingen.

Christmas donation of the Caverion Deutschland GmbH Competence Center for Large Scale Projects

2015 the Christmas donation of the Caverion Deutschland GmbH Competence Centre for Large Scale Projects went to organisations working both regionally and supra-regionally. This year humedica was chosen among others and so its project management received a donation of 5.000 Euro.

The Competence Centre for Large Scale Projects did deliberately not dedicate its donation to a certain cause to offer humedica the opportunity to spend it flexibly for underfunded aid projects.

humedica thanks sincerely for this generous Christmas donation and looks forward to a continued cooperation in the future.

Medical students from Würzburg support humedica

“I will not permit considerations of age, disease or disability, creed, ethnic origin, gender, nationality, political affiliation, race, sexual orientation or social status to influence my medical obligations towards my patient.“

When the medical students from the university of Würzburg celebrated their graduation this summer, they also professed the upper paragraph of the Declaration of Geneva and committed themselves to help people in need. The graduates promptly turned word into deeds and donated the income of their exam prom, i.e. 2.200 Euro, to humedica.

„Our concern is to support people and to understand health promotion as a task. We think that international humanitarian help is an elemental part of medicine, especially in hard times like these full of armed conflicts. The monetary surplus of our semester is in good hands with humedica. An assistance for help!“ explains alumnus Volker Liebendoerfer the motivation for the donation.

The humedica team would like to thank cordially for the support and is looking forward to welcome maybe one or other to an operational training.
