Internship days at humedica

Professional internships in communication service still possible

During this year’s internship days on March 12th and 13th, many interested applicants with interesting backgrounds visited the humedica headquarters in Kaufbeuren.

Especially the section IPP (International Programs and Projects) is much pleased about the application days and could get promising interns for the coming months. The important and well-founded interest of committed applicants has already brought some fresh air into the headquarters and humedica is thankful for the encounters.

In the section communication with the fields PR (Public Relations) and FR (Fundraising) there is still a chance for a professional internship

If you are inspired by media and you dispose of good communication skills as well as a good knowledge of English, we will be happy to receive your application. You should have finished the third term of your studies (journalism, marketing, public relations, German philology, communication or politics) and bring great dedication.

humedica offers directed assistance, varied insights into a professional team’s work, own fields of duties and the familiarization with the relevant tools for effective public relations or fundraising work.

Please send your complete application as well as a covering letter and CV by email to Mr Steffen Richter. Here you will find more information concerning an internship with humedica. If you still have questions or want to clarify the matter, we are happy to hear from you personally (tel. Steffen Richter: 08341 – 966 148 45). Thank you very much!

Nurse’s training school from Memmingen visits humedica headquarters

On March 6th, about 20 nurses’s trainees from Memmingen visited the humedica headquarters in Kaufbeuren, in order to get information about the work of a help organization and of the different possibilities of a personal commitment.

After a talk about worldwide emergency and catastrophe help, many interested questions and a guided tour of the offices and storage rooms of the headquarters, humedica is looking forward to the promising feedback of the trainees.

Qualified nurses are a precious enrichment of our medical teams, which provide precious help for people in need all over the world.

humedica would be pleased to welcome the one or the other at the compulsory training before operation and cordially thanks for the manifested interest and visit!

Hessing foundation donates offerings

Exceptional commitment of the Hessing-clinic in Augsburg: the specialized hospital in the heart of Swabia does not only care for surgical and orthopedical concerns, but also offers church services as well as concerts in the affiliated St. John church. Part of the earnings of the last Christmas concert, amounting to 550 Euros, has now been donated to humedica.

humedica managing director, Wolfgang Groß went to Augsburg personally, in order to thankfully accept the donation as well as an additional collect of exactly 323.60 Euros and to report about the destination of the donation, the Philippines. Since typhoon “Hayan” in November 2013, humedica has supported the concerned people on the islands Leyte and Samar with medical care as well as with a comprehensive sponsorship program.

“Many people on the Philippines have lost everything in the typhoon. With a sponsorship they receive regular help, which accompanies them on their way back to normality”, says Groß. After his presentation, one of the churchgoers met Wolfgang Groß and anonymously handed him over another 100 Euros for the humedica children day care center in Brazil.

Clinic pastor Nikolas Bernhard and chorus leader Daniela Starzyk showed their satisfaction about their choice of the destination of the donation and underlined that they also wanted to support other help measures in the future. humedica cordially thanks for the expressed confidence.

All-round support of doctors from Heidelberg

In a manner of speaking, it is a contribution to colleagues’ work: With a generous donation of 4,500 Euros, the doctors of the Saint Elisabeth clinic in Heidelberg have supported humedica’s medical help measures.

Not least thanks to Dr. Wolfgang Heide, the choice of the organization which should be supported was made for humedica. The gynecologist has already travelled to Ethiopia, Uganda and Iran for our organization, in order to allow medical treatment for people in need.

From his last operation in an Ugandan refugee camp has now resulted another commitment of the Saint Elisabeth clinic.

Shocked by the insufficient equipment of a health center in the refugee camp, Dr. Wolfgang Heide in cooperation with the clinical nurse manager, Ulrike Klump has organized scrubs as good as new for the Ugandan colleagues. Thanks to humedica coordinator Volker Baumann, they have already been transported to their destination.

humedica thanks the staff of the Saint Elisabeth clinic very much for their selfless help.
