V-Markt supports humedica project in Zimbabwe

Sustainable help needs regular support. The company Georg Jos. Kaes GmbH, better known under the name of its supermarkets V-Markt, knows this and has supported the work of the international help organization humedica e.V. for years already. Their latest support included the donation in kind of a washing machine and three refrigerators for a hospital in Zimbabwe.

In order to countervail the precarious supply situation in this South African landlocked country, humedica started comprehensive aid supplies deliveries to the East of the country in 2008. Since a political and economic crisis, the people there have suffered from a humanitarian emergency situation, which makes external help absolutely necessary.

“We are glad to be able to help people in need with our means. With humedica as a regional partner, we know that our donation will reach the place where it is really needed”, says the store manager Bernhard Stich.

The washing machine and the refrigerators will simplify the running of the sponsored hospital immensely and will facilitate the urgently needed medical care for the local population.

humedica managing director, Wolfgang Groß showed his thankfulness for the repeated donation of the Georg Jos. Kaes GmbH. “Regular sponsors like the V-Markt are extremely valuable, especially for our projects which are no longer in the limelight of the public media. We appreciate this repeated support very much.”
