"Onlooker" gets active
At this time, volunteering in Lebanon is truly a great commitment. When, in addition to that, one’s own partner decides to fund the travelling expenses out of their own pocket, this is one of the most beautiful ways to express support for an aid mission. This is precisely what Peter Wille from Ehringshausen did.
After his wife, Dr. Margrit Wille, had returned from her humedica aid mission in Lebanon, where she had worked as a medical volunteer, and shared her positive experiences with him, Peter Wille decided to fund the expenses for his wife’s aid mission and donated 800 euros to humedica.
“After witnessing the humedica work in Lebanon as an observer and seeing how much effort is put into it, I decided to support this project by means of a donation. I can identify with the work of humedica and I know that my money is used where it is most needed”, says Mr Wille when asked about his motivation for donating.
At this point, we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to Mr Wille for his selfless donation. It is precisely through support like this that humedica can assist the Syrian refugees in Lebanon. Thank you so much!
HypoVereinsbank doubles financial support
This is the result of a personal initiative, coupled with the commitment of a large group and kindly supported by an enthusiastic employer. Once again, the HypoVereinsbank, a bank which has branches in Kaufbeuren and the whole region of Southern Bavaria, got involved with humedica with the goal to send help from Bavaria into the world.
“We would like to show our deep connection to our home region by supporting a local organisation, which, however, acts on an international scale”, Andreas Frey, branch manager in Kaufbeuren and initiator of the donors’ group, explains their motivation.
“We gladly support humedica because we know that our donation will benefit meaningful projects. It is a good feeling to know that our concern is shared by our corporate foundation and that this initiative was carried out not only by our branch in Kaufbeuren, but by branches spread in the whole area between Traunstein and Lake Constance.”
As a result of this, an impressive sum of 3.380 euros was raised and then doubled thanks to a special programme of UniCredit, the parent company of HypoVereinsbank, so that in the end, 6.760 euros were handed over to humedica.
“We can only help through the support of our friends and sponsors", humedica managing director Wolfgang Groß gratefully comments. “We regard every donation as a little miracle and are very grateful for the repeated and generous commitment of the staff of Hypovereinsbank.”
“Nick“ goes travelling – Caps warm heads and hearts
If you are a friend of fancy hats, a fan of creative, modern caps and bandanas, you might be familiar with chillouts headwear, designed by the company arthouse GmbH&Co.KG.

Also those who regularly take part in the Christmas parcel campaign “A gift from the heart”, as well as the recipients of these gifts, might know this brand, for this is not the first time that the company from nearby Jengen has got involved with humedica.
“We already know humedica from its Christmas campaign “A gift from the heart”. We have already supported the organisation with donations in the past and would like to do this again”, explains Jan Goetze, who works in the warehouse of arthouse GmbH&Co and is the one to hand over the donation to humedica.
The donation consists of 300 caps of the model “Nick” with a market value of about 4.000 euros. Next winter, these caps will warm the heads and hearts of boys and girls in the recipient countries of “A gift from the heart”, who will find them in their Christmas parcels.
Heartfelt thanks to the whole arthouse team led by managing director Eli Assoulin for their renewed donation and support for less privileged people.
An extraordinary clothes donation
Who would not love to have a special garment that no one else would wear and that would make you stand out from the grey crowd. Easier said than done, many people may think.
While, in Germany, fashion-conscious people can easily head for the next clothes shop and browse to their hearts’ content, many people in this world are grateful if they can call any warm and good quality clothes their own at all.
Being aware of this, the team at the humedica headquarters was very happy about the donation in kind received from the clothes company Moshiki based in Ismaning near München. Several boxes filled with woollen hats and colourful garments arrived at the humedica storehouse at the beginning of May. “We are very glad about this extraordinary donation. Especially the colourful hats and gloves are ideal for our campaign "A gift from the heart" and will surely make the eyes of many children sparkle with joy”, says humedica staff member Vanessa Pischulti.
The company Moshiki is well-known for its fancy and colourful clothes. Their generous donation will give needy children and adults the chance to have a special and unique garment of their own.
“I know humedica from their campaign A gift from the heart and so I know that our clothes will benefit people who really need them”, says Sibylle Stöhr, a staff member of Moshiki, and goes on to explain: “Our donation was a matter of trust.”
humedica would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Moshiki and the people responsible for their donation!
