Have you already heard that...?

There are plenty of ways of collecting donations – for example in the framework of a company event, a city festival or a larger family celebration. But it is by no means the size of the event or the festive occasion that determines the sum of donations that can be collected for charity purposes. The important thing rather is a comfortable atmosphere - an atmosphere like the one that has been created by the company Ohrwerk Hörgeräte (hearing aid devices) for their customers.

Last month, proprietor Andrea Thurner organised four tea parties for her customers. She wanted to giver her customers in Bad Wörishofen, Buchloe, Peißenberg and Schongau the opportunity to inform themselves about the diverse types of hearing aid devices during a nice cup of coffee with cake.

In the framework of this event, Andrea Thurner asked the total number of about 380 interested guests to make a small donation for the diverse relief projects humedica is running all over the world. And in this way she collected a sum of about 750 euros, which the company from the Allgaeu region was pleased to double.

We make our donation to humedica, because we are convinced that the money will be used for charity purposes, that it will reach the people in misery, and, apart from that, because we would like to support an organisation based in our region”, explains Andrea Thurner.

Therefore, humedica now disposes of 1,500 euros which can be used at their own discretion and the organisation would once more like to express its heartfelt thanks to Ohrwerk Hörgeräte. Donations that are not made for a specific purpose are used in those projects where help is most urgently needed at the respective point of time.

Each ticket gains – and so does humedica

This year spring takes some time to establish itself. However, at the spring festival of the V-Baumarkt (German supermarket and DIY market) Kaufbeuren which took place on April 27 and 28, the warmer season had already started for the guests. A friendly sun shone down for customers and guests and invited them to ask for some information on the relief projects run by humedica.

All over the festival, which boasted snack stalls and special offers, a total of 21 honorary assistants were busily informing the guests about the organisation’s various projects and answering questions at the humedica information stand.

At the end of this successful event, a cheque of 3,398.12 euros was given to humedica employee Joachim Panhans in the framework of a festive handover ceremony. This sum corresponds to the takings generated during a tombola that was held under the motto: every ticket gains – namely one of the many prizes the V-Baumarkt had donated for this purpose.

humedica would like to express its heartfelt thanks to V-Markt Manager Mr. Stich for the generosity, to the honorary assistants for their commitment and last but not least to the numerous guests who supported the international humedica projects by means of buying a ticket. Thank you very much!

Nitsche overhauls computers for humedica projects

Almost one year ago, the Bavarian Nitsche group of IT companies offered to support the humanitarian relief projects run by humedica in various different ways. This cooperation and support has been motivated and promoted by CEO Martina Vogler.

For example she informs the computer expert’s customers of relief missions run by humedica, and by doing so contributes to increasing the organisation’s publicity. The service company is furthermore contributing to the new "Happy Teddy" campaign and has already collected several of the toys which will be added to one of the Christmas packages at the end of the year.

An occasion for the representatives of the Nitsche group of companies and humedica to meet once more was the generous donation of 25 second hand computers. The used computers were checked thoroughly by the in-house IT experts and were then handed over to humedica employee Joachim Panhans.

Some of the computers will be sent to project locations in Ethiopia, and about 15 of them will be given to a child care facility in Togo. humedica is highly grateful to Nitsche for this support and is looking forward to further cooperation measures in future.

Tables and chairs for the field of relief supplies

In the framework of the working field of relief supplies, it is of particular importance to humedica to provide people in misery with urgently needed relief goods. Therefore, more than 600 tons of relief goods per year are sent to some projects and programmes or passed on to local partner organisations.

Only a short time ago the company VS Vereinigte Spezialmöbelfabriken, which is based in Tauberbischofsheim, donated 300 chairs and 100 tables to the humedica field of relief supplies. Thanks to this donation, humedica will be able to equip schools in some project countries. In Niger and Moldova in particular, chairs and tables for use in class rooms are urgently needed.

We are pleased that we can support the organisation and above all also the children in the project countries by means of this donation of furniture", explains Dr. Axel Haberer of the company’s Marketing Department. At this point, the humedica team would like to thank the company for the donation of furniture and humedica is pleased that thanks to this donation, better teaching conditions can be created for numerous children.
