Tombola and auction for collecting donations for humedica

Commitment for charity purposes pays off! During a private charity event, Karin and Rudi Beßler collected 3,600 euros for humedica. More than 150 persons had accepted their invitation and contributed to the charity party to become a “tremendous success” by means of their presence and their readiness to help.

This is already the second time that the committed couple from Hirschaid organises a party in favour of humedica – and once again the guests’ feedback and readiness to help were great. The party included a tombola, the takings of which are a share of the donation sum.

Karin and Rudi Beßler had asked friends and acquaintances to provide prices for the tombola. The guests of the event had demonstrated such generosity that during the tombola 100 tickets could be sold at 5 euros each – every ticket gained a price.

Furthermore, numerous donations in kind were put on sale during the auction. Among them were two hand-made bird nesting boxes, a self-made Christmas crèche and two fruit trees. And, of course, Rudi Beßler’s sausage branch auction was also part of the event.

The event was absolutely successful! We were particularly overwhelmed by the guests’ readiness to help”, Karin and Rudi Beßler reported cheerfully. They needed numerous helpers during the party, who set up the tent, baked cakes and oversaw the barbecue and sales. A DJ had offered his services for free for the evening and provided the necessary musical background to the party.

With the takings of the tombola, the auction and several individual donations, Karin and Rudi Beßler want to support the humedica relief measures at the Horn of Africa. humedica would like to express its heartfelt thanks to the two initiators of the charity event, as well as to all the energetic assistants and donors. Thank you very much for your admirable commitment!
