Music Corps of the Bavarian Police performed for Haiti

Oberstdorf is an idyllic small town in the Allgaeu region in Bavaria, which is well-known and popular both for its beautiful hiking trails and it diverse skiing regions. Only a few days ago, Oberstdorf also was the venue of a musical highlight performed in order to support humedica and the relief programmes in the earthquake region in Haiti.

Directed by chief conductor Professor Johann Mösenbichler who has already been awarded numerous prizes in Austria and the United States of America, the Music Corps of the Bavarian Police performed with the purpose of helping the victims of the earthquake in Haiti.

For two hours, the only professional wind orchestra of the Bavarian Police took their audience on a musical journey through classical pieces written by international composers. Marches, folk dances and French chansons made this evening an unforgettable musical event.

This musical masterpiece took place under patronage of the former Mayor Eduard Geyer and the former Minister for Agriculture, Josef Miller, who of course did not want to miss this event just as little as did the other 300 guests – and the more so, since the concert was given for a charity purpose.

A further surprise for the visitors had been prepared by the event’s organiser and lover of music, Wilfried Heinrichs. He had organised free tickets for the Oberammergau Passion Play, which could be won by the audience at the end of the evening.

The humedica team would like to thank all the guests of the concert, the musicians who had travelled from Munich to Oberstdorf for this evening and Wilfried Heinrichs. By means of their joint efforts and commitment, a total sum of 930 euros could be collected for Haiti.

We would also like to ask you to support our diverse projects in Haiti by means of a targeted donation.
