For Haiti: Charity in Action XI: Selling Tea at a Snow Bar

by Franziska Baur,  2010/03/19

Also Eva Petrich, a bright and lively girl from Hurlach supported the victims of the earthquake actively by means of a very special idea.

After the news about the severe earthquake, she started collecting every newspaper article about it and took great interest in every donation which was made. Then she herself thought of an initiative with the objective of helping the people in Haiti.

The 8-year old girl built a snow bar in the garden of her parents, decorated it and then sold hot beverages. Friends and acquaintances of the family, who had heard about her amazing idea, were attracted by hot tea and other beverages. Everyone wanted to take part in her initiative, drink a tea for getting warm and by doing so at the same time support a good cause.

0,50 cents per cup were paid into the tea cash. At the end of the event an impressive sum of 155 euros had been collected by means of Eva busily brewing and selling tea. Eva Petrich donated this money to humedica.

The entire humedica team was extraordinarily pleased about his donation initiative and would like to express its thanks to Eva Petrich for her commitment and action. Again and again it is impressive and touching to see what kind of ideas are realised in order to support the people in Haiti.

We would also like to ask you to help the survivors in Haiti.
