Working in the field in 2009: Opportunities for volunteers with medical training

by SRI,  2008/12/16

An important mainstay of our work for people in need are volunteers with a medical professional background. More than 850 doctors, nurses, paramedics, as well as psychologists and physiotherapists are currently providing swift and professional aid in many countries around the world. In 2009 too, there will be a great variety of opportunities for committed medical personnel to work in the field.

The Department for International Projects and Programmes (IPP), which plans, co-ordinates and supervises all operations, has now presented the new schedule for 2009. Besides African countries like Niger, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Madagascar,Sudan and Malawi, India, Kosovo and Haiti are also on the list of countries selected for aid projects.

The humedica team is looking forward to hearing from any persons with the appropriate qualifications interested in participating in these special mission assignments. Please note the necessary recruitment criteria, time schedules and deadlines and all other pertinent information.
