Families are looking for a sponsor
left behind by the Tsunami in 2004 have destroyed the livelihood of many families in Sri Lanka. humedica’s sponsorships are aimed to enable the affected families to stand on their own feet again on a medium term basis. With the help of humedica, eleven preschools, some health centres and numerous houses have already been built. 1250 fishermen have received new boats from German sponsors. Moreover, the International School in Manipay (on the Jaffna peninsula in the north of the country) was built by humedica and has been working continuously for some years now.
