humedica forum Baden-Württemberg – The humedica family is growing

About six months ago, the idea was born to found a humedica-forum in Baden-Württemberg (neighbour region of Bavaria, Southern Germany) in order to have a local presence there. At the end of October, Wolfgang Groß, the managing director of humedica, met six committed people to talk with them about the foundation of the humedica-forum Baden-Württemberg.
The humedica-forum consists of a group of volunteers who would like to actively support the organization’s aid efforts from outside Bavaria because they have a personal attachment to humedica and are convinced of its work.
The internationally active relief organization cannot complain about being too little known. Yet especially in the case of disasters it is of great importance for the rapid implementation of relief efforts to have people’s attention – also outside Bavaria.
In this sense, the members of the newly-founded humedica-forum Baden-Württemberg are going to support humedica’s public relations work inside Baden-Württemberg both during disaster relief operations and with regard to long-term projects.
Waltraud Walz, vice chairlady of the humedica executive committee and head of the forum, said that the meeting had been a “great evening”: “We have had a great time that evening and are looking forward to representing humedica here in Baden-Württemberg. People would like to have someone representing humedica in their region.”
She added that the founding members were highly motivated since they identified with the values of humedica and considered the great commitment of Wolfgang Groß, about whom they said that he were “always right at the middle of the action”, impressive and inspiring.
