It’s an important goal of humedica’s to keep the administrative costs in a single-digit percent range.
The donation certificate from the Deutschen Evangelischen Allianz is confirmation that humedica has achieved this goal. That this certificate must be renewed yearly shows the determination by humedica to keep its costs to a minimum, and maintain its highest awarded rating. In addition, on July 25, 2008, humedica received the renowned DZI-seal from the Deutsche Zentralinstitut für soziale Fragen in Berlin.
Even when the help that humedica passes on, in most part, comes from donations-in-kind from the medicinal and food branches, support from the countless members and volunteers is vital. School classes collecting for a project, congregations organizing a benefit concert, volunteers launching a glasses campaign – everyone and everything that helps is treasured not only by the employees of humedica, but also by the people who receive the resulting benefits. Prayer is also important, and not only during times of unrest when employees are being exposed to life-threatening dangers. “We would like to help the people in their time of need, and to show them that God’s love includes them as well,” says Wolfgang Groß, summing up the motivation behind the work from humedica. And so should it remain.
